The North East Region of Scottish Scouting came into existence on 1st April 2008.

The emphasis of a region is to give local Districts more scope to plan and deliver programme support for young people and adults involved in Scouting.

The Regional Team of North East Scotland Scouts will focus on strategic and long-term objectives of ensuring effective communication and development as well as the training of adult members in the Region.  The regional team also includes members responsible for maintaining and growing Network and Explorer numbers with all District in the Region.  The region also hosts all the specialist advisors such as International, Activities, Child Protection etc.
